"God created us—not because he needed us or wants us to do anything—he created us out of love. The whole history of the Scriptures is about God's pursuit of us, throughout the history of Israel and certainly through the coming of Jesus, most supremely in his incarnation. His life, death, and resurrection are all about the pursuit of this God who loves us. In the end, I think in perfection and in glory, we will understand what’s true but we only have glimpses of right now—that indeed God is the object of our worship and adoration, and that we miraculously and beautifully are the objects of his love."
In this week's message, Bishop Alex wraps up his short series on questions to be asking ourselves as we read the Bible. As he encourages us to grow deeper in our faith, he assures us of God's unconditional love.
