Discerning a call to ordination helps us answer questions like, “Is this my own desire or is it the Lord’s calling?”, “To what am I being called?”, and “Do I have the gifts, faith, and character for this calling?” None of these things should be discerned on our own, nor can they be. A calling to ordained ministry is discerned by the candidate, the local congregation, and the wider church. Our process seeks to engage all three, that we might hear the Lord together.
If you are discerning a call to ordination yourself, we encourage you to speak with your rector or the rector of your local Anglican church. Your rector will help you explore this call and initiate your process in the Diocese.
If you are ordained in another denomination but feeling drawn to Anglicanism, please reach out to our office directly via our Contact page.
