On Forgiving Others

"Jesus Christ came to bear the sin of the world—to set us free from sin that we have committed against God and others, but also sin that others have committed against us. The heart of the gospel is this incredible liberty that we have not to be defined by the evil we have done or the evil that has been done against us, but rather to be defined by the forgiveness and love that comes to us in Christ Jesus on his cross."

Following up to last week’s message about learning to receive forgiveness, this week Bishop Alex expands on the idea and practice of forgiving others. While challenging, our decision to forgive—regardless of whether we see any remorse or change—is to exercise the freedom we have in Christ.
