David Barnabas Szomor

David was raised in Westchester County, New York, in a Christian home. As a high school student, a mission trip to the Dominican Republic left a lasting mark on him and confirmed a growing call to pastoral ministry.

He went on to study Bible and theology at Wheaton College, where he encountered the Anglican tradition for the first time. That encounter made a deep impression, and he resolved to pursue ordination in the Anglican tradition.

He began his seminary formation at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia before completing his master of divinity degree at Reformed Episcopal Seminary, where he served as a postulant in the Reformed Episcopal Church.

Philadelphia captured his heart along the way. He and his wife Angelica fell in love with the city, its sports teams, and, of course, its hoagies and cheesesteaks.

After seminary, David returned to Wheaton to serve as curate at All Souls Anglican Church, where he has ministered since July 2024. In that role, he leads the youth, college, and young adult ministries, and regularly participates in Sunday worship through preaching and other ministry responsibilities.

David and Angelica are the parents of a one-year-old son, James, and make their home in the Wheaton area.
