"We can very easily in this season get our heads down, be at whatever we need to get at, and be incredibly focussed in a way that we miss the entire experience. So I'm loathe to say, 'here's something else you might do in Advent,' and add something else to the huge pile of things that I should do. So I want to make a little suggestion."
In this week's Advent message, Bishop Alex reminds us to look to Jesus in the midst of our busy lives and to take small opportunities to pause and dwell in the anticipation of this season. He recalls Jesus's exhortation to us in Luke's Gospel to "straighten up and raise your head because your redemption is drawing near."
