We are pleased to welcome the Rev. Cody Ramer to the Diocese! Cody joined the staff of the Anglican Parish of Christ the Redeemer in Canonsburg, PA, as curate in 2024. He is a transitional deacon who transferred into the Diocese of Pittsburgh from the Diocese of Christ Our Hope in April and, God willing, will be ordained to the priesthood in June 2025.
Cody was born and raised on the Alabama Gulf Coast. During his youth, the earnest and sincere faithfulness of his family members and friends made a permanent and enduring impact on his understanding of the gospel.
Having sensed a call to the pastorate in his teenage years, Cody worked and volunteered in churches throughout his college years at the University of Texas at Dallas before discovering the beauty and wonder of the gospel afresh in the Anglican tradition. He was ordained to the diaconate in the fall of 2024 after several years of discernment at Christ Church in Plano, Texas, and pursuit of a Masters of Art in religion at Trinity Anglican Seminary. It has been his delight and joy to serve Redeemer since November 2024.
Cody’s favorite people are his wife, Madison, and his son, Ezra. He loves reading and writing fiction, mountain biking, and sleeping outside. He is a known connoisseur of church potlucks and an avid fan of sugary pastries.
