"I want to remind you, my dear brothers and sisters, we are not saved by our remorse or even by our repentance. We are saved by the glorious sacrifice of Jesus on the tree. And while we may feel the heaviness of this week—the difficulty of this week—it is a week of our awe and adoration of what God has done for us in Christ Jesus."
During this week in the church calendar, when we commemorate Jesus's kingly entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday through his death on Good Friday and resurrection on Easter Sunday, Bishop Alex encourages us to keep in mind both the sadness as well as the victory of what was accomplished.
